Checklist for buying foundation

As i had already shared, i had developed an aversion towards foundation. The reason being, my clear skin, suddenly became a battleground due to wrong foundation...
Since then, i was on a ban for foundation, the only makeup for me was moisturiser topped with a compact, and i was all set...This was good enough for me, but for special occasions, it had its obvious shortfalls.... so i thought i should try a foundation, but this time it has to be a wise thoughtful decision...and i came up with a checklist....

I am very happy with my current buy: Bourjois Detox Foundation, so thought of sharing my guidelines for you, ofcourse everyone has to fine tune it as per their requirements...

My expectations from foundation were:

1) Non comdogenic, no clogging of pores
2) Has to be made of natural products, which would do good to my skin
3) Perfect shade
4) Non cakey, gives a natural look
5) Matte
6) Good coverage

These were my must have characteristics...and i had 3 choices, from Max factor, Lotus, and Bourjois...

I had heard good reviews of Max factor age renew, that wearing it would actually reduce aging etc, Lotus obviously being completely natural...

I again thought of prioritising...and i realized the only point from the above that i could compromise was the coverage part...

Bourjois offered, medium coverage, but ranked higher from my perspective on the other aspects...

I hope this info has been of some good to you guys... Thanks

  5. hey.. i have the Bourjois Detox concealor... i really like it..it dries quickly so you need to apply with a damp foundation or concealor brush. I find i dont even need to set it with powder.

  9. @Bhumika: I don't use the darkest shade in Healthy Mix foundation! I use the darkest shade in Healthy Mix concealor - they have only 3 shades in this range & I use no 53 - which is the darkest.

In Healthy Mix foundation range also I use 53, & they have 2-3 more darker shades than that :)

@Retnu:I too am looking forward to this de-tox foundation! Will def try it :)
