Apple Cider Vinegar and its virtues

Not many of us know the virtues of Apple Cider Vinegar, thus this post...


Apple cider vinegar is made by crushing apples and squeezing out the liquid. Sugar and yeast are added to the liquid to start the fermentation process, which turns the sugars into alcohol. In a second fermentation process, the alcohol is converted by acetic acid-forming bacteria into vinegar. Acetic acid gives vinegar its sour taste.

Apple Cider Vinegar, can be used for a host of things in life, be it skincare, haircare, health benefits...Few of the benefits are listed below:

Health:
  • Reduces cholestrol
  • Good for people suffering arthritis problem
  • Balancing blood glucose levels
  • Boosting immune system 
  • Controls weight gain :D
Skincare
  • A spoonful of apple cider vinegar, when added to a glass of water, can be applied for glowing skin
  • Helps clearing blemishes
  • Exceptionally good for pimple prone skin
  • Balances the oil generation
Haircare:
  • Spoonful of apple cider vinegar with glassful of water, is a great substiture for leave in conditor. It stinks for a while, but it dies down within 5 mins
  • In the same liquid if you add a pinch of baking soda, is a good treatment for dandruff
My way of cheat using apple cider vinegar in my daily chores
  • Make a bottle of 1:5 proportion of apple cider vinegar and water handy, and use this as a substitue for limejuice in your recipes
  • Use spoonful from the same bottle for cleansing your skin
  • Drink a cup of this water daily to reduce weight
  • Take a cup of the same liquid for leave in conditioner
Apple cider vinegar is easily available in many of the super marts, malls etc... For me a bottle easily lasts for a month.

  1. I have been hearing a lot about apple cider vinegar myself, but I can't seem to find it. All I see are synthetic versions of this, are those equally good?
