Lotus Herbals Extreme sun block cream- SPF 60

Most of the readers would be aware of my love for Lotus brands, for the reasons being, affordabiltiy, quality and mass reach, but let me introduce to the product that i absolutely hate from the Lotus brand.
Surprisingly this belongs to the safe sun umbrella, and most of the products from the safe sun had been my favourite except for this one.


Product description: 

This extreme sun block cream contains high concentrations of intense sun screens and sun filters to reflect, scatter and absorb all the UVA & UVB rays. Protects skin completely against skin ageing, tanning, skin cancer and all sorts of UVA rays associated damages.

Active ingredients-

• Oregno- anti oxidant, anti irritant
• Chamomile- soothing and calming.
• Carrot- anti-tan.

Let me tell you my experience for this product, this product is like applying wax on yourself, it wont spread, no matter what, its stubborness to blend is the most irritating part of it

To be honest except for the SPF part i cant see of any pro's for this product

Cons

1) Similar to applying wax on your face, would not blend

2) Leaves your face oily the moment you apply it

3) Expensive

4) There is a whitish cast, which is because it just refuses to blend

I really dont know how could lotus come up with a dud product like this, according to my logic, this wouldnt work for any skin type... I hate hate this product

Would you recommend: No, please dont waste your money, Lotus safe 3 in 1  matte is way too good

Coming down to my experience: This is my daily wear lipgloss, i love it, as it doesnt feel heavy on my lips, and gives the glossy effect


Pros:
1) Love the color
2) Moisturising enough for 2-3 hours
3) The applicator is good
4) Packaging is good
5) Not very heavy on the lips
6) The shimmer is not OTT, just the right kind

Cons: None

Recommend: Yes i do, it has got amazing shade selection, plus natural ingredients, i love the subtle effect it gives to my lips.

Lotus Safe sun 3 in 1 matte sunblock review

I got this product from Lotus, during March....and i thought it was the perfect gift, and extremely thoughtful of them to give a sunblock before summers, when there is scorching sun, and high chances of getting tanned and sunburns....

My review, infact mine and my hubby's also....

I stay in Pune, and for local commutation we mostly prefer the scooter rather than car, as parking is a big issue when it comes to Pune...This had left us, with with our skin tone getting two shades darker....and this is when i got a complete suncare kit from lotus, man i was dancing with joy seeing it....

However i never thought i would love it so much....

My husband had become 2-3 shades darker, cos he has to travel more, he hates applying anything on the face...I had forced him to use it for the first few times, but now he applies it by himself, which is a pleasant change, and he has come back to his original shade back again :D

Pros:

1) Gets absorbed in your skin in seconds, leaving a complete matte effect

2) Is tinted :)

3) Without compact, it leaves your skin shinefree for 2 hours, and with compact its 5-6 hours, aint that great

4) Non comdogenic

5) Is from a herbal brand

6) Has got Clay as the main ingredient

7) SPF 40,. and no whitish cast

Cons: i just dont have any

Would you recommend it : I am using this for the rest of my life, i am never going to stray away from it...Infact i would be travelling soon, i already got a good enough stock of it...

For people who were fond of Ponds TM, but didnt like it cos of the shine, would love this....

I have been using this cream for the entire summers, and here goes my experience

Pros:

1) It is a light cream, just glides on to your skin with minimal effort

2) Subtle feel good fragrance

3) Pricing is good, it lasted for me the entire summers

4) Availability

5) SPF 25

6) Reduces my brown spots :)

7) There is a brightening effect, a good glow, but this doesnt last for long :P

Cons:

1) I have a problem with the glass jar packaging, i always have the feeling its going to fall down

2) Leaves my skin greasy in an hour, i can only apply it in the night.

Would you recommend: As an oily skinned person it didnt work well for me as a day cream, but as a night cream it rocks... I never expected such a remarkable reduction in my brown spots.

My experience:
Pro's:
1) It is one of the few facepack which doesnt make your skin feel stretched.
2) The facepack glides onto your skin like silk, it almost feels like second skin, its like applying aloe vera, you can go to the grocery shop and no one would notice you applied a face pack... This is a major plus for me, as i have someone or the other always knocking on my door, and with other facepacks i had to run and wash my face, here there is no such problem
3) Skin is super smooth soft
4) Good packaging
5) Value for money
6) Easy availabiltiy

Cons:
None, i love it

Would you recommend: I unfortunately could never follow it up with the gel or emulsion due to time constraints, but it still a winner for me... Go ahead ladies its wonderful for the price

Review:

Pros:

1) The scrub does what it is meant to do, i have seen a substantial reduction in whiteheads, and leaves the skin bright.

2) It is not very harsh, nor is it extremely mild, the exfoliation part is just right

3) Packaging is good

4) Affordable, but yes there are much cheaper and better scrubs also available.

5) The mild fragrance is definetely plus

6) This is the first scrub which i have used is white in color, so a pleasant change for me.

No cons for me for this product.

Recommendation: Its a decent face scrub, does what it claims

Lotus Black Clay Skin Whitening Facepack

This was the first face pack that i ever got, and i got it around 3 years back. After my marriage i had lot of breakouts, and my skin was full of blemishes, the reasons could be attributed to adjusting to a different family, being away from my parents my brother, and this took a toll on my skin...
This pack had come in as a saviour...

Product description:

Claywhite - Black Clay Skin Whitening Face Pack

Black clay is very rich in minerals and silica, helps brighten facial complexion. Bearberry extract, rich in arbutin, and liquorice extract help lighten facial complexion.

Directions for use:
Wash your face with Jojobawash and blot dry. Apply a generous amount of Claywhite on face and neck, leaving eyes. Relax till completely dry. Rinse with fresh water. Follow with Fairgel.

Active ingredients:

Black clay, bearberry extract, liquorice extract.

Price: 185 Rs for 120 gm

My experience:

1) It actually helps you in clearing off your pimples without blemishes.

2) Skin becomes soft and supple, evens out skin tone

3) Packaging is good

4) Doesnt leave your skin dry, but maintains the perfect balance of the right amount of  moistuation and taking off the excess oil

5) Little goes a long way, its a very thick creamy stuff, so i apply it on my damp face, as its difficult to apply on dry face
6) Available at almost all places
7) Has a mild tingling sensation, but not something you cannot adjust to

Cons:
1) I hate the smell, it reminds you of the school days clay project that we did, wierd kind of smell
2) The pack says it has to left for 20 mins, trust me i dont have that kind of time or inclination i just leave it for 5 minutes/until it dries and the results are good, but i think writing on the pack as 20 mins is a turnoff for people like me who are super lazy and would nt prefer walking around like a black ghost

Would you recommend: Yes, i am already on my 4th tube :)

Lotus Herbals Natural Blend Blusher in Iced Mauve

This is another of my favourite product that i won from the Giveaway...

Description: Touch-on colour softly shimmers with new lighting effect that subtly defines face and enhance complexion. Illuminates as it sculpts for a look that's simply radiant.

Price: 349 Rs

The shade that i received was an iced muave.
It is on the slightly darker side of pink shade, more or less a purply pink color, with just hints of purple and more of pink, if i may say so.

My experience:

1) The first time i saw it, i was confused about the color, me being wheatish in complexion, purply pink was kind of a question...But on application i found it sometimes similar to peachy rose, or purply pink shade... I hope i am not confusing you, i actually went to the colorbar counter, with a swatch of this, and compared it with Just earth, and Peachy pink, and found it to be a median between the two.
After my this experience i was sure i had a gem in my hands....Honestly i have to admit, i am bad with colors, so had to go through this experience, cause m way too shy to try things which i am not comfortable with
2) The pigmentation is good enough, and is buildable
3) The packaging is a class apart, comes in a rich red and gold compact box with a click open lid. You should see the packaging, i bet none of the blushes have such cool packaging.
4) The color looks great
5) Staying power is great, it stays with my Pond TM for 2 hours
6) This is one color, which both the fair skinned and dark skin tones would equally like is my gut instinct
7) All natural ingredients

Cons: None

Would i recommend: Buy it for sure

I have been using this everyday, since it doesnt look OTT for your office ;)

Lotus Herbals Lip Contour Definer in Seduction

Well this is the lip contour definer that i won from Glitter Glamour and Grace giveaway, and this is the only giveaway that i won, i am always going to hold the gifts that i won close to my Heart, Thanks Poornima :), muaah!!!

I never ever owned a lipliner, and being a makeup novice, i never thought it was of importance, until i got hand of this gem....

The website has no information about this, so i couldnt get of any description.... :(
Moving onto the my experience....

Pros:
1) Its a coral shade, soft.
2) They do not dry out my lips and are quite long lasting
3) I line my lips with them, and fill it, and then apply lipstick, and it looks great, once the lipstick fades, there is still the tint left.
4) The lead of the liner is good, i have been using it daily, and so far no breakage.
5) Herbal, so no harm to your lips :D

Cons: None

I loved this, though i would say that i still stick to the fact that, lipliner is not an absolute must have in your vanity case, but it surely is a nice to have thingie :P

Lotus Strawberry Lip balm review

I am fairly biased towards Lotus products for the simple reason being, they are budget friendly and more often deliver results...
Me being a lip balm person, and not more of a lipstick person, i always have a couple of lip balms with me....
This lip balm purchase was an on the spur decision, which is generally the case... I have been using it for the past 5 months, so good enough time to review :)

What the product claims...
The lip balm's highly active moisturising formula helps to repair dry, cracked and chapped lips and protects them from the drying effect of cold, dry winds of winter, making them looks look healthier and smoother.

Key Ingredients: Strawberry Extract, Honey, Jojoba Oil, Almond Oil and Wheatgerm Oil

Price: 60rs for 8gm

Pros:
1) The lip balm is red in color, i so love the color, infact this was the major reason for me to buy it.
2) The texture is gelly of medium consistency, the fragrance part is the one which goes with the major points, smells like a true strawberry. I actually end up licking my lips cos of the fragrance, and does have a strawberry flavor to it
3) Is not greasy...major plus
4) The balm comes in a tiny pot. Its a handy packaging, can very well get accomodated in any sized bags

Cons:
1) Touchup after every hour is required
2) It does gives the glossy finish, but there is no tint which is only seen in the pot, but never on the lips
3) I dont really see it hydrating my lips..

Verdict: No, i wouldnt recommend it, when i have other great products at more or less similar price...
I wouldnt term it as a disaster, but not a gem as well...

Lotus Alphamoist moisturiser

I am a sucker for good moisturisers, and i am mad about trying new stuff....
The major draw for any moisturiser would be oil free, alcohol free, completely herbal, and Lotus alpha moist just fitted my budget.......

Brief about my skin: Extremely oily, acne prone...

What the product claims:
Plant derived alphahydroxyl extracts present in this oil free replenish moisture, provide a vibrant smooth complexion and reveal fresh newer skin. The complexion is rejuvenated into looking and feeling younger.

Price: 165rs

Pros:
1) Completely oil free, for a skin like mine, which generates oil within 5 mins, it has managed to control the oil
2) gives a soft glow to the skin
3) smells decent, neither good nor bad
4) the packaging is good, i have no qualms with it, it comes in a pump bottle, a drop or 2 goes a long way
5) doesnt dry the skin, keeps it well moisturized.
6) Suitable for all skin types, i was hesistant to buy this as such products generally dont work for me, but it worked for me as well...
7) It suits the dry skin as well, my friend is an avid fan, and she was the one who suggested me

Cons:
I would have loved it, had it been a tinted moisturiser, i have to apply compact over it, and in early hours, i dont have that kind of time at my disposal.

All in all a good buy for the price, well my secret desire is Lotus comes with a tinted moisturiser would be a blessing for me.....:)
