Price:  Rs 260 for 60 gm

I have been using this cream for the entire summers, and here goes my experience

Pros:
1) It is a light cream, just glides on to your skin with minimal effort
2) Subtle feel good fragrance
3) Pricing is good, it lasted for me the entire summers
4) Availability
5) SPF 25
6) Reduces my brown spots :)
7) There is a brightening effect, a good glow, but this doesnt last for long :P

Cons:
1) I have a problem with the glass jar packaging, i always have the feeling its going to fall down
2) Leaves my skin greasy in an hour, i can only apply it in the night.

Would you recommend: As an oily skinned person it didnt work well for me as a day cream, but as a night cream it rocks... I never expected such a remarkable reduction in my brown spots.

Revlon Touch and Glow fairness cream

At times you find your perfect companion at the most wierdest place. I am quite a regular person at the Pune Central Mall, in one of my normal conversation with the Revlon Counter SA, i was told about the Touch and Glow range. She asked me to try the cream, but here comes the twist, she said, its only available at the Chemist shop, and at the counter she has the lotion. I asked is the lotion better or the cream, her answer was the cream.

She recommended me the cream for the reasons...

1) I sweat a lot
2) I have a problem with the foundation getting darker as time passes by....

Here's my tryst with the wonderful product....

Product Description: Advanced Fairness Cream with Vitamin Agent and Dual Sunscreen for a fairer complexion. Contains honey as a key ingredient which works as a natural moisturizer, nourishes the skin and keeps it smooth and supple.

Price: Rs.125/- for 50g

Pros:

1) Convenient tube packaging, nothing fancy about it
2) It gives a healthy glow to my face, there is no tint, but a healthy glow, and i dont suffer the problem with my foundation getting darker by the day
3) Perfect moisturising, i like the fact that it has honey
4) Lightweight
5) Its the perfect inexpensive daily wear stuff that you are looking for
6) No breakouts

Cons: None, except for the fact that i had a tough time finding it, as none of the Revlon counters in Pune that i know had this, i got it from a chemist store.

Tip: I mix this cream and Ponds tinted moisturiser for my daily wear, and for special days, i apply foundation over this. This works like magic for me...I love it

Ponds age miracle tinted moisturizer

Yay, i found my tinted moisturiser....:)
I have been using this for a month.......and i am super happy with it

My experience with the product:
1) It gives a good glow to the skin
2) Evened out my skin tone
3) The tint is sheer, just perfect for the minimal makeup look, which is my preferred way
4) A small pea sized is good enough for my face
5) I just need to set it right with my Lakme radiance compact, which is also a fav of mine...
Finally i have good compact and a good moisturiser, its a good buy for the ladies on the go...
6) The packaging is chic
7) I love the dewy look that it gives :)

Cons:
1) My skin gets oily after 3 hours, but this i am ok with it, rather than running for the tissue paper after every 30 mins

The best that i loved about it is it absolutely even out my skin tone, gives a good glow
I must say it works great with my Lakme radiance compact, had i been using some other compact, it could have been a possibiltiy that it wouldnt work that well...
Finally for the oilies, we have Ponds tinted moisturiser and the Lakme radiance compact :D

I am still anyways fond of my lotus alphamoist moisturiser, i apply it at night

Biotique Chlorphyll Gel

Well i have been using Biotique Chlorophyll Gel for almost 2 months now, seems to be a good enough time to share my views on the same...

The regular readers might be aware, i have an extremely oily skin, which is acne prone, and i am always on the lookout for products which can help in controlling the oiliness.

What the product claims:

Soothing Gel. This is A Unique Moisturiser. The Chlorophyll Content Tightens the Pores And Soothes The Skin. An Effective Post Hair Removal Complexion Soother. Also Contains Extracts Of Seaweed, Sea Algae, Aloevera And Gum Arabic

Pros:
1. Oil-free. A clear green colored gel which reminds me of aloe vera, does moisturise your skin
2. It does give you the refreshed cool feel
3. Can be used in the day and night as an alternative to moisturiser
4. Non comdogenic, dint break me out

Cons:
1. Personally i didnt find it any better than my homegrown aloe vera...
All qualitites that you get of aloe vera are the only one that you expect of it...

I used it for 2 months to check whether it actually helps in reducing the generation of oil, but no luck so far...

My verdict: Frankly speaking it didnt do anything spectacular for me...So i am not buying it :(

Lotus Alphamoist moisturiser

I am a sucker for good moisturisers, and i am mad about trying new stuff....
The major draw for any moisturiser would be oil free, alcohol free, completely herbal, and Lotus alpha moist just fitted my budget.......

Brief about my skin: Extremely oily, acne prone...

What the product claims:
Plant derived alphahydroxyl extracts present in this oil free replenish moisture, provide a vibrant smooth complexion and reveal fresh newer skin. The complexion is rejuvenated into looking and feeling younger.

Price: 165rs

Pros:
1) Completely oil free, for a skin like mine, which generates oil within 5 mins, it has managed to control the oil
2) gives a soft glow to the skin
3) smells decent, neither good nor bad
4) the packaging is good, i have no qualms with it, it comes in a pump bottle, a drop or 2 goes a long way
5) doesnt dry the skin, keeps it well moisturized.
6) Suitable for all skin types, i was hesistant to buy this as such products generally dont work for me, but it worked for me as well...
7) It suits the dry skin as well, my friend is an avid fan, and she was the one who suggested me

Cons:
I would have loved it, had it been a tinted moisturiser, i have to apply compact over it, and in early hours, i dont have that kind of time at my disposal.

All in all a good buy for the price, well my secret desire is Lotus comes with a tinted moisturiser would be a blessing for me.....:)

Oriflame Visions V* Peach Me Perfect Skin Glow Review

One of my close friend is an all time Oriflame fan, and she chose to be an Oriflame consultant, so that she could just order products for herself.......Seeing her obsession with Oriflame, i was curious to know about it.....
I was always aware that Oriflame is a Swedish brand, and has a name for itself, i had seen many aunties discussing about Oriflame in the train, and raving over the products when i was a child, and when these things didnt really matter to me......

Thus began my tryst with Oriflame, the best product that i got my hands on was: Oriflame Visions V* Peach Me Perfect Skin Glow Review...

What the product claims: Tinted gel that moisturises skin and provides a natural, peachy glow. With vitamin C and pro vitamin B5 to help even-out skin tone. Wear alone or under make-up as a luminising base. For all skin types. 30ml.

My experience with the product:
1) It gives you the perfect glowy finish, niether too shimery, neither too matte, the perfect balance.
2) Just require a pea size, and blends well
3) One shade suits all, i dont know how, but it actually works, i have seen the same pack working for people fairer than me, and people with darker shades
4) Have been using for almost a year, doesnt lead to breakouts.
5) A small tube, which can easily find space in your bag.
6) The consistency of the product is pretty good, neither too watery, nor creamy.....
7) I cant just get enough of this product...., the best part of this product is you donot require anything over this product, it is a self sufficient product with good dosage of Vitamin C, and pro vitamin B5, doesnt leave my skin oily, i just have to apply a pea size of it, and i am on my way to office...and to top it, the product is decently priced, one pack lasts for around 2 months.

Cons:
1) The product is forever out of stock, and only available through Oriflame consultants. The problem with Oriflame products is accessibility.

I am actually obsessed with this product, so i use less than pea size, when my friend who has become a consultant says that it is out of stock :(

Give it a try, its a one stop product taking care of the glowy skin finish. The product has got a top rating.

For more information visit,

I was glad when oriflame had a website for India, i thought i could get my products online, but no such luck, it still follows the policy of approaching through a consultant, which i find pretty annoying.
